IBOB Player for Fire TV Stick
By the IBOB Player team · Published · Updated
Fire TV Sticks run Fire OS, which is based on Android, so IBOB Player installs on them as an app. It plays your own M3U or Xtream playlist; it does not include channels or content.
Only add playlists you are legally entitled to use. IBOB Player does not provide or recommend any content source.
Step 1: Allow Downloader to install apps
- Install the Downloader app from the Amazon Appstore on your Fire TV.
- Open your Fire TV settings and find the option that allows Downloader to install unknown apps. The exact menu path (under My Fire TV and Developer options, or under Applications) varies by Fire OS version.
- Switch it on for Downloader.
Step 2: Install IBOB Player
- Open Downloader and enter the code 2993432 in the URL box.
- Let it download the IBOB Player APK, then choose Install.
- When it finishes, choose Open. You can delete the APK file afterwards to save space.
Prefer a direct link? The latest APK is also listed in the Download section of the home page.
Step 3: Add your playlist
Sign in to the portal, add your M3U link or Xtream login details, and the playlist syncs to your linked devices. You can keep up to five playlists. Not sure which type you have? Read M3U and Xtream playlists explained.
Step 4: Activate
The app begins with a 30-day free trial. Afterwards a plan activates the device using the device key (shown on the splash screen) and the MAC address (Settings, About device, in the app). See how activation works.
Troubleshooting
- “Install blocked”: Downloader has not been allowed to install unknown apps yet (Step 1).
- Downloader code not working: check you typed the digits into the URL field, or use the direct download link on the home page.
- Playlist does not load: verify the link or login details with your provider, then contact us if it still fails.
